How to Add Extra Baggage & Prices on Air Niugini

Buy Baggage
  1. Go to www.airniugini.com.pg and select 'Manage Booking' in the home page booking widget, or open 'PrePaid Baggage' under Travel Information > Baggage.
  2. Enter your booking reference and last name, then click 'SEARCH' to open the Manage My Booking hub.
  3. Open the 'EXTRAS' tab, which lists the ancillaries still available for purchase, including Prepaid Baggage.
  4. Select Prepaid Baggage, choose the amount of extra baggage you need, and continue to the payment step.
  5. Complete payment, then print or save your receipt to show at check-in.

Yes. Prepaid baggage can be purchased online at airniugini.com.pg – at booking time on the Extras page or after booking via Manage My Booking (EXTRAS tab) – and at Air Niugini sales offices, at least 3 hours before departure.

Where do I buy extra baggage?

Buy prepaid baggage on www.airniugini.com.pg (during booking or through Manage My Booking) or at any Air Niugini sales office. Prepaid baggage cannot be bought at check-in – only standard excess baggage fees apply there.

When is the deadline to buy extra baggage online?

Online payments accept credit/debit cards, Universal Air Travel Plan (UATP), BSP Mobile Payment, PayPal, AliPay and UnionPay.

Can I get a refund or transfer extra baggage if I cancel or change my booking?

Prepaid baggage is non-refundable and non-transferable. Unused allowance is forfeited after the flight departs or in case of no-show; refunds are only considered if Air Niugini disrupts or reschedules the flight. If you voluntarily rebook the same route, prepaid baggage must be re-linked to the new booking.

Are there any important exceptions or restrictions I should know?

Sports equipment (golf, scuba/dive, fishing, surfboards, ski/snowboard, bicycles) earns an additional 15 kg free allowance above the standard entitlement. Infants under 2 years receive 10 kg checked baggage on domestic and international routes. Carry-on is limited to one 7 kg piece plus one personal item.
