How to Add Extra Baggage & Prices on Biman Bangladesh Airlines

Buy Baggage
  1. Go to biman-airlines.com and open the homepage 'Manage Booking' section (also reachable via the 'Modify Trip' link).
  2. Enter your PNR / Reservation Code and your Last Name (surname) exactly as on the ticket, then click Search.
  3. Select the 'Add Extra Baggage' option from the manage booking tabs (listed alongside Change Journey Date, Select Your Seat and Update Baggage Info).
  4. Choose the prepaid baggage package for your route (10 kg or 20 kg packages per the Excess & Prepaid Baggage rate document) and complete the payment.
  5. You receive a payment confirmation and the prepaid allowance is added to your booking.

On USA/Canada routes an overweight bag (23-32 kg) or oversized bag (158-292 cm) costs USD 100 per direction; if a bag is both, the fee is charged only once; Business and Premium Economy are exempt from the overweight fee; no bag over 32 kg is accepted. On other routes per-piece limits are 25 kg (Economy) and 32 kg (Business) with 158 cm dimensions, and any weight above the free allowance is charged per kg.

Are there exceptions to the baggage rules?

Special Fare Class (G) gets 20-23 kg checked allowance depending on sector; Special Fare Class (S) gets no checked baggage allowance at all. Biman Loyalty Club members get extra free allowance (Silver +10 kg, Gold +20 kg, 1 piece) regardless of class of service.
