FAQ

Can I buy extra baggage online after booking?

Yes. The online booking engine on flymna.com includes an 'Additional Items' step in its booking flow for adding extras such as checked baggage. For an existing reservation, use the 'Find Booking' option to retrieve your booking before proceeding.

Where do I buy extra baggage?

Extras can be added online through the flymna.com booking flow ('Additional Items' step), and existing reservations are retrieved via the 'Find Booking' page using your booking reference and traveller name. Excess baggage at the airport is charged per kilogram at the published route rates.

How does MNA calculate excess baggage charges?

MNA is weight-based: excess baggage is charged per kilogram above the free allowance. Domestic rates are MMK 12,000/kg standard (MMK 15,000/kg on the listed route groups); international inbound to Yangon is USD 12 / SGD 16 / THB 380 per kg, and international outbound from Yangon is MMK 50,000/kg.

What are the standard free baggage allowances?

Business Class: 40 kg (2 pieces) international, 30 kg (2 pieces) domestic. Economy Flexi/Discount/Saver: 30 kg (2 pieces) international, 20 kg (2 pieces) domestic. Economy Super Saver/Promo: 20 kg (2 pieces), max 23 kg per piece. Hand carry: 7 kg (1 piece) Economy, 14 kg (2 pieces) Business.

What are the overweight or oversized baggage rules?

Any weight above the free allowance is charged per kilogram at the excess baggage rates. Economy Super Saver / Promo checked bags are limited to 23 kg per piece and 54 inches (L+H+W); hand carry must fit 58x34x23 cm and weigh under 7 kg.

Do partner or interline flights have different baggage rules?

The irregular/special baggage fees apply only when travelling on Myanmar National Airlines; if an interline carrier is involved, IATA rules apply. When connecting to another airline you must collect and recheck your baggage with the next carrier.

Are there any important exceptions or restrictions?

The free baggage allowance policy was revised effective 1 April 2026 due to fuel-related operational challenges; always check the allowance shown on your PNR/E-Ticket, as some routes may differ. Excess baggage rates are effective from 20 March 2026.
