Do partner-operated or codeshare flights have different baggage rules?

For flights to/from the US or Canada, the baggage allowance of the first flight's carrier code applies. For other routes, the carrier of the most relevant flight (intercontinental first, then first international within continent) determines the allowance. On codeshare flights, the marketing carrier's rules apply.
