Steps
- Go to www.boa.bo and use the booking widget at the top of the homepage.
- Select the 'Estado De Vuelo' (flight status) tab, enter the last name (apellido) and booking locator (localizador) from your reservation, then click Continuar. You can also add baggage while booking a new flight.
- In your booking, add the extra checked bag(s) you need for the passenger and route required.
- Complete the payment online using an accepted payment method to lock in the prepaid rate.

Extra checked bags (additional pieces)
Per-piece fees depend on the route and are quoted net in Bolivian bolivianos (BOB) when paid in Bolivia, and in US dollars (EUR for payments from Spain) when paid outside Bolivia. Prepaid rates apply when pieces are bought in advance and are cheaper than the airport rate paid on the day of the flight. If you carry more than three pieces, the 3rd-piece rate applies to each additional piece.

Overweight baggage (excess weight 23-32 kg)
Excess weight applies when a piece weighs more than 23 kg and up to 32 kg. These fees are paid only at the airport on the day of departure; BoA publishes no online or prepaid option for excess weight.

Yes. Additional checked bags can be prepaid through your booking on boa.bo at the prepaid rate, which is lower than the airport-day rate. Excess weight over 23 kg is not prepayable - it is paid at the airport on the day of departure.

How many extra bags can I add and what are the size limits?
Each checked piece may not exceed 158 cm total dimensions. The number of bags included in the fare varies (Economy Basic includes no checked bag, Standard one bag up to 23 kg, Flex two bags). If you travel with more than three pieces, the 3rd-piece rate applies to every additional piece.
When should I buy extra baggage to get the cheaper rate?
Buy and prepay the extra piece before the day of the flight - prepaid rates are lower than the 'airport payment on the day of the flight' rate on every route. BoA does not publish a specific cut-off time for prepaid baggage.
