FAQ

Can I buy extra baggage online after booking?

Yes. Bags can be added during the booking flow on flylevel.com, in 'My Booking' (manage booking) for confirmed reservations, and during online check-in; the official US fee schedule lists web, online check-in and manage-booking channels.

Where do I buy extra baggage?

On flylevel.com during booking or via the 'My Booking' button in the booking engine header, during online check-in, or at the airport counter (where overweight and oversized charges are also paid).

How does LEVEL calculate extra baggage charges?

Bags are priced per piece in three weight tiers (15 kg, 23 kg, 32 kg) with 'from' prices that vary by destination. Routes from the United States follow a separate 23 kg fee schedule with Season A and Season B travel-date periods.

Is it cheaper to buy extra baggage online in advance vs at the airport?

Yes on US routes: a 23 kg bag costs EUR 65-105 via web, online check-in and Manage my booking versus EUR 90-100 (USD 108-120) at the airport counter depending on route and season; the counter is usually the most expensive channel, although on some route/season combinations (e.g. LAX/SFO-other, Season A) it is cheaper than online check-in. The general baggage page also states that checking in via the website is cheaper than at the airport.

What are the bag weight and size limits?

Checked bags are sold in 15 kg, 23 kg and 32 kg tiers; bags over 32 kg are not accepted and dimensions must not exceed 158 cm total (height + width + length). All fares include one 10 kg carry-on (56 x 40 x 25 cm) plus one personal item (40 x 30 x 15 cm).

What are the overweight or oversized baggage rules?

Overweight or oversized checked bags incur an extra charge paid at the airport — it is not purchasable online and no fee amounts are published. Bags over 32 kg are refused; bags over 158 cm total dimensions are charged as oversized. For special luggage, 23-32 kg overweight fees apply at the airport.

When is the cheapest time to buy extra baggage?

During booking: the official table shows from-prices rising between booking and post-booking (e.g. 23 kg from EUR 65 to EUR 70, 32 kg from EUR 95 to EUR 120). The site says to 'check in your suitcase now' and save up to 50%, and states website purchase is cheaper than at the airport. No explicit cut-off deadline is published.

Can I get a refund for extra baggage if I don't use it?

The help center offers 'Request a refund' for your ticket or extra services if eligible; the site does not publish a detailed baggage-specific refund policy.

Are there important exceptions or restrictions I should know?

US-origin routes have a separate seasonal fee schedule. E-bikes are never permitted, and special luggage (boards, skis, bicycles, golf, instruments, firearms) has specific packing rules with overweight fees from 23 kg charged at the airport.
