How to Add Extra Baggage & Prices on XiamenAir

Buy Baggage
  1. Go to xiamenair.com and open 'Optional services' (Optional Services) -> 'Baggage' (Baggage Purchase), or go directly to the Prepaid Extra Baggage page.
  2. Enter your ticket number, flight number, last name, first name and contact information (or log in as an Egret Miles member to retrieve your itinerary), tick the 'Baggage Instructions for Purchase' agreement box, and click 'Search'.
  3. Select the number of extra pieces or the weight option you need and confirm the rate displayed for your flight date.
  4. Complete payment online; the baggage order takes effect immediately after payment.
  5. At the airport, show your purchase confirmation at the check-in counter and hand over the extra bag for check-in.
  6. To cancel an unused prepaid baggage order, go to 'My orders - Baggage order' and request a refund.

Prices

Airport excess baggage fees are fixed per route area and charged per piece; each piece must not exceed 23 kg and 158 cm total dimensions on international/regional routes, and CNY and USD rates apply to all international/regional routes while other local currencies apply only to routes originating in that country. The first extra piece and each additional piece are charged separately, with additional pieces costing more. Route-specific rates for Fuzhou/Yinchuan departures apply only when the first extra piece is processed on-site at the origin airport check-in counter (not via online prepaid purchase). Prepaid extra baggage bought online is priced dynamically by route and flight date.

Can I get a refund or transfer extra baggage if I cancel or change my booking?

Unused prepaid baggage can be cancelled with no fee currently charged via 'My orders - Baggage order', but the whole order must be refunded (no partial refund). If you change your flight, cancel the original baggage order and buy a new one. Used baggage products cannot be refunded. A receipt for your baggage booking can be requested via 'My order - Baggage order details', and an e-invoice can be issued within 30 days after travel.
