Steps

  1. Go to batikair.com and select the 'Manage Booking' menu.
  2. Enter your 6-letter booking code (PNR) and the passenger's first and last name as recorded on the reservation, then confirm.
  3. Open the 'Manage Addon' menu and select 'Addon Baggages'.
  4. Choose the desired additional baggage weight (5/10/15/20/25/30 kg, maximum 30 kg per passenger) and continue to review the total cost.
  5. Confirm the purchase and complete payment (credit card or Direct Debit BRI).
  6. After payment you receive an updated e-ticket by email confirming the additional baggage.

Special baggage

Surfboards and bicycles are special baggage: excluded from the free checked baggage allowance and prepaid baggage. Handling fees are charged per piece per segment according to the point of sale (POS).

Prepaid baggage can be purchased through the official Batik Air website (Manage Booking > Addon Baggages), through travel agents, and at all Lion Air Group representative offices.

When is the deadline to buy prepaid baggage online?

Prepaid baggage must be purchased at least 6 hours before the scheduled departure time. It cannot be added after web check-in or online check-in is completed.

What is the free baggage allowance and how much extra baggage can I buy?

Free checked baggage allowance on Batik Air Indonesia is 20 kg in Economy and 30 kg in Business (domestic and international). Are there any important exceptions or restrictions I should know?

Prepaid baggage does not cover surfboard or bicycle handling fees — these are charged separately. BFF Gold frequent flyer members receive an additional +10 kg free baggage allowance on Batik Air Indonesia flights.
